Join AOTA as a student member

Boardroom to Classroom is an opportunity for students to connect with members of the AOTA Board of Directors (BoD) to discuss important current issues within the occupational therapy profession. Through online teleconferencing, leaders host a 1-hour discussion with a focus on one or more of the following topics:

• Advocacy and current factors affecting occupational therapy
• Leadership opportunities
• Applying evidence to practice
• Articulating OT’s distinct value

How to set up a Boardroom to Classroom session

Send the following information to B2C@aota.org 3-4 weeks in advance of when you would like to host the presentation:

• 3 preferred days and time availability
• Topic(s) of interest (see above)
• Your school name and time zone
• Your contact information
• If you have access to a teleconference program, list the name of the program (i.e., Skype, Adobe Connect, Zoom) and user/log-in information.
• If you do not have access to a teleconference program, let us know so that we can set up a connection for you.

A staff member or ASDSC member will contact you after you have submitted your request and will contact BoD members about availability. Once the teleconference is scheduled, you and your school can correspond directly with the BoD member about meeting logistics.

Students are welcomed and encouraged to register and attend AOTA's conference offerings. Some conferences speak specifically to student issues, others include tracks for students. Please keep tabs on this page for upcoming information about student-related conferences.
