Assembly of Student Delegates meetings
The Assembly of Student Delegates (ASD) meets virtually multiple times per year in addition to gathering in person at the American Occupational Therapy's Association's (AOTA) annual conference.
ASD in-person gatherings
The ASD Steering Committee (ASDSC) is excited to continue exploring new ways of connecting with ASD members. Before 2020, ASD met once per year during AOTA's annual conference. Beginning in 2021, ASDSC began hosting tri-annual, virtual meetings.
ASD will gather in person at AOTA INSPIRE 2022 in San Antonio on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at a reception-style event. This event replaces the previous all-day activity prior to conference. The ASDSC is planning a terrific, interactive occasion!

Meeting theme: Building strong foundations
We kicked off the start of the school year on September 9, 2021, with an interactive meeting of your ASD colleagues. Through Building Strong Foundations, we focused our discussions on these two areas:
- What I wish I knew: Tips from those who have “been there, done that” and what they would have liked to know right up front.
- Minding your mental health: Discussions on imposter syndrome, safety, well-being, and mental health through a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.
